Sergio Retamal Listed as One of Three Finalists for This Year's Info-Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award
SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - September 23, 2008) - Sergio Retamal was listed as one three finalists for this year's Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Hispanic Business Magazine. The finalists will be honored at the historical Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on November 6.
Sergio Retamal is President and Founder of Global4PL, a supply chain consulting company that helps companies reduce their cost and achieve their full operational potential. Sergio Retamal is also the President and Founder of RFQConnect™, a supply chain software company with offices in Santa Clara, Chile, Hong Kong and India. Mr. Retamal possesses significant experience creating new companies and helping them grow in a complex environment while achieving recognition internationally.
Mr. Retamal was listed as one of the Top10 Entrepreneurs of Silicon Valley of 2008 by MACSA, and has recently been recognized as one the "2008 Pros To Know" by the Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine, which is a consecutive award as he was previously honored as one of the "2007 Pros To Know." It continues a string of achievements that includes the "TEN Award" (2006) underwritten by the AT&T Foundation, and the "Executive of the Year" (2005) from the International Transportation Association.
Faculty from the USC Marshall School of Business judged the finalists and has named one winner for each of the five categories; as well as one overall EOY. The winners will be announced at the upcoming awards gala.
Mr. Retamal has over twenty years of professional experience in logistics / operations, software development, sales, purchasing, materials management, and transportation management. He holds a Masters degree in Change Management from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business, and an MBA in International Business from California State University, Northridge.
